DUMB DONALD KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT OUR VETS (OR ANYTHING ELSE FOR THAT MATTER)

LOOK HOW STUPID DONALD DUCK SOUNDS IN THIS INTERVIEW!

CHRIS CUOMO: We tried to get your campaign and the other campaigns to hold forth or whether or not they supported the current GI bill. In congress, a sneaky vote in the house — no roll call - is going to cut money from the GI bill to allow for other expenditures for vets. Vets were upset. “No, don’t take money from us and reallocate it. Find the savings elsewhere.” Do you support maintaining the GI bill the way it is and growing it instead of cutting it?

DONALD TRUMP: I don’t want to hurt our vets. We treat illegal immigrants better than our vets. I’m going to help the vets. I’m going to only help them. — unlike Hillary Clinton who thinks the vets are getting too much? They’re not. I’ve traveled, seen so many vets I know so many vets now and have a lot of friends. I have developed great friendships among the vets. Our vets are —

CHRIS CUOMO: Is that a yes, “I do support the current GI bill?”

DONALD TRUMP: No. I want to bring jobs back to our country and make the country grow again. I just traveled. I won so many states in a row in massive landslides and part of the reason was trade. Not what you brought up at the beginning of the show, totally inappropriate. Part of the reason I won was because of trade and I talk trade and I’m the only one that can do anything about trade.

Trump’s “I won so many states in a row in massive landslides” is not an indicator of him being qualified for the office of POTUS. It’s reminiscent of Sarah Palin constantly repeating the words “maverick” and “mavericky” every time a reporter asked her a question. The voters saw how shallow she was. Hopefully, they’ll see Trump’s also in the wading pool, instead of diving into the deep end.

Military Times survey: Troops prefer Trump to Clinton by a huge margin
        .
In a new survey of American military personnel, Donald Trump emerged as active-duty service members’ preference to become the next U.S. president, topping Hillary Clinton by more than a 2-to-1 margin. However, in the latest Military Times election survey, more than one in five troops said they’d rather not vote in November if they have to choose between just those two candidates.
        .
But given only those choices, 21 percent of the service members surveyed said they would abstain from voting.More than 54 percent of the 951 troops Military Times surveyed said they would vote for Trump, the presumed Republican presidential nominee, over Clinton, the Democratic front-runner. Only about 25 percent said they would vote for Clinton in that matchup.

Trump is riding the wave of discontent people feel about politicians and the lack of action the government has taken running the country. His flair for the dramatic captured the attention of the media who is always looking for any story able to catch the attention of anyone who will boost their ratings (or circulation, hits etc etc.) Unfortunately Trump and the media are appealing to the very people who drive everyone crazy. The guy who would rather blame others for their circumstance than actually do anything about it. We all know more than a few of this type. The person who blames the police for getting arrested rather than the fact they committed a crime. Trump has appealed to the loud mouth troublemakers. These people remind me of the thug soccer fans in Europe who travel from stadium to stadium to create a ruckus and destroy everything to do with the opposing team; their stadium, their fans even the entire community associated with that team. These people feed off the negativity and the power of being in a group.
The sad reality is most people don’t get involved in the political process until they feel a threat to THEIR way of life. That lack of concern allowed the Republicans to capitalize on the government shutdown they created a couple years ago. Trump has been able to campaign using soundbites with no one challenging him to provide details. When they do, they also let him ramble into another subject without consequence. Trump appeals to the politically uneducated person who expects results but doesn’t care about details. In the end if he does get elected (shudder) he will do none of the things he has promised. He will blame everyone but himself. He will blame the Mexican government for not paying for the wall. He will blame the middle east countries for not dealing with isis. I could go on but I’m sure most get the picture. He criticized the party he now expects to support him and if not elected he will totally blame them. In the past he has filed for bankruptcy instead of ensuring he had a sound fiscal plan. He has left investors with nothing while he was cast in a TV show. He is all about Trump but those who believe in him are the same people who read headlines then claim they know the news.

This sounds like the Black Lives Matter group who the Democrats have endorsed.

      May 13, 2016
      1. rinit63

Yep because Black Lives Matter is solely about crime. Having watched the riots of both the Black Lives Matter and the Trump rally supporters I think they are more similar than not. Both seem to spend their time arguing about a topic without knowing all the facts. Watching people spewing hatred and anger divides a country that already is too divisive.
I am still waiting for someone to give me one clear policy Trump has explained. He offers all kinds of problems without solutions. His crap about delegating is just that crap. Mexico has already been more than clear stating they will not pay for a wall and trusting middle east countries to deal with isis is laughable since most have been proven to say one thing while doing another. So while Trump talks about being rich, smart and knowing big words what has he really said about his true understanding of the issues and his clear policies to deal with them? He talks a lot and says so little yet people blindly follow him thinking he is so great.
It’s so easy to throw mud into the mix with your comment but then please tell me one clear concise policy Trump has.
I will not understand supporting any candidate who has something to hide whether it is Trump or Clinton.

        May 13, 2016
        1. Brn2bfree

People are tired of the establishment and a rigged system and Trump is exposing it.
          His policy is America first.

          1. Secure the borders. Mexico is not going to write Trump a check. They are going to pay in a different way. If they want to do business with US they will pay higher tariffs. Those tariffs will fund the wall.
          .
          2. People are sick of political correctness and his frankness is a breath of fresh air. Telling it like it is confuses the liberals and throws them for a loop. We will be able to say ‘Merry Christmas’ and phuck the Muslims/liberals or who ever if we offend them.
          .
          3. Trump wants to reduce corporate taxes to encourage companies to move to the States. He’s going to punish those companies who want to leave taking jobs by hitting them in the pocket book if they want to do business with US.
          .
          4. Trump is a successful business man who knows how to make good deals. He understand how other countries our manipulating our currency. Trump has employed thousands and knows how to create jobs and get things done.
          .
          5. Idiots like Obama think that if you’re a successful business, that you just got lucky. That’s absurd. He’s way over is pay grade. He’s a divider and he has set records. About 93 million people out of work. Liberals are all about entitlements and wanting free stuff from the government. With Trump, we’ll have more opportunities because he understands that the private sector needs to be taken care of. They pay the government to operate.
          .
Liberals have blindly followed Obama for the last 8 years and are you better off? Is America better off? He can’t even say ‘Islamic terrorism’.. He thinks man made global warming is more of a threat. He wants to bankrupt businesses like coal. He invested millions and millions on solar and what do we have to show for… a bunch of bankrupt companies and a lot of debt. Trump understands that ‘its the weather stupid’ and man can’t change the climate … it’s cyclical.
          .
Obamacare is a disaster and we need to dismantle it and let competition between states to get the best deals. Trump understand this. Liberals use deception and lies and you can’t deny that. Same with the Iran deal. No body respects us because liberal pacifists like Obama has destroyed our military and the believe of appeasing will get us respect is a joke.

          1. rinit63

I think I just found my perfect example of a Trump supporter.
You are epitomize the true Trump groupie and as such have suffered the loss of common sense if you believe any of the crap you are spewing.
Kansas dropped corporate tax telling their people there will be more jobs. There are far less and the deficit is ridiculous.
Tariffs for a wall is just a bunch of babble that you will believe because you believe everything else he is feeding you.
You can say Merry Christmas right now. They had it everywhere ever since conservatives claimed there is a war on it.
Trump has declared bankruptcy multiple times but he is such a successful businessman because he tells you he is. Ask the people who have lost money on his investments. Oh right, you only listen to Trump.
If he is all you believe why don’t you actually do your research? He was a true blue pro-choice, government funded health-care democrat less than a year ago. You can say he saw the light or maybe he just realized republicans are more easily lead down the garden path and took the easy way to the nomination.
You can join the other whiners in November when Trump loses the election because he speaks to the extreme just like the Tea Baggers.
The reality is most republican states receive more federal “welfare” type programs than anyone yet they cry the biggest tears about the liberals who support them.

              Ms. Kitty,
I think I just ran into another miserable liberal who loves Obama and has a hard on for Trump? When Obama becomes history and as one of the worst presidents, liberals like you could care less. Because Hillary is your man now or is it ‘I want to give you other peoples money’ Sanders?
              .
You like Hillary because she’s a Democrat and Democrats support the following:
              .
              1. Abortion on demand….
              2. More taxes and entitlements.
              3. They believe in man made global warming. They believe they can change the climate and lower the sea levels. WTF
              4. They love socialism. We know socialism doesn’t work no matter how many times they try. Idiots liberals keep trying and trying. Obama did his share with Obamacare. The crown jewel of socialism. They must be insane in that … They keep doing the same thing over and over, thinking that they will get different results.
              5. Democrats have endorsed BLM and Occupy wall street thugs. Pants up don’t loot!!
              6. Liberals are all about political correctness… and BTW, I hope I offended you!!
              .
Bottom line is you’re a feminist who doesn’t care if Hillary is a liar and that she terrorized women who her husband raped and abused. You’re a feminist who doesn’t care that Hillary lied when four Americans died in Benghazi. She, Obama and Rice tried to deceive the American people by blaming the terrorist attack on a video. This is called dereliction of duty.
              .
At the end of the day… liberalism is the most gutless choice anyone can take. They depend on the government, they can’t do it on their own. They are brainwashed zombies waiting for their marching orders. They will anoint Hillary and you will be kissing her ring if you want your freebies.

Of course there was no comment about it from you until mcstites started the sexist talk. Seems you can’t even think for yourself. You parrot what other people say. Arena of ideas? You have no ideas, as is evident from what you post.
              .
I’m not hiding. I’m not perfect. You must expect everybody that has anything to do with religion to be perfect. There is only one Jesus Christ. It ain’t me and it ain’t you. You also have a filthy mouth. The word is the same, whether you spell it with f or ph. You don’t fool anybody.

FYI everything that you have said, has been said and done before. You’re a liar if you don’t believe that and if you don’t use ‘sayings’. Here’s an example of a saying.. ‘Liberalism is a mental disorder’. I didn’t make it up but I will use it. . ‘Crooked Hillary’ .. I didn’t make it up but I’ll use it.
              .
I don’t claim to be a saint. I’m a former liberal that has been mugged by reality… (another saying). I realize I’m a sinner and I can’t turn the other check. I want to fight you liberals in the arena of ideas. I enjoy exposing their lies. Maybe, I can get through to a wretch like you or maybe someone else. You’re a wasted case because you are older and still a liberal. It’s not in your DNA to see that progressivism is destroying our traditional values.. We’re heading towards a ‘Sodom and Gomorrah’ … I see you as a progressive and as if you are assisting the devil.

            5. deaconjim

No, Brenda, you see what you want to see. I’m sure you think your way is right, but it’s not. It’s destroying the balance of upper, middle, and lower incomes in this country. It’s lining the pockets of the rich and super rich at the expense of everybody else. It’s sinking the middle class into the ranks of the poor. It’s exporting jobs to foreign countries. It’s taking away any opportunity for those at the bottom of the income scale to improve. It’s taking away their chance at a college education. It’s taking away their ability to get the medical care they need to thrive. It’s destroying the ideal of the American nuclear family, with a husband, wife , and a kid or two, or three. It’s forcing couples apart. It’s poking its nose into too many people’s private lives. It’s making those in the minority, not just racially, but also those with mental issues feel like they’re second class citizens, less equal than everybody else. It’s creating higher crime rates, by people who would never think of robbing somebody, but they see no other way to even get a slice of bread to eat.
              .
We don’t want to create a government run by all Democrats or all Republicans or all any one party. That would be disastrous. We need a government with a diversity of ideas and elected officials working together for the good of all, not just their corporate sponsors. But that’s not what you want. You want Extreme RWNJ’s running the country, exclusively. You wouldn’t know what a conservative is if you had one in front of you. It certainly isn’t Donald Trump. If your choice is Trump or Clinton, you’d get a more conservative president in Clinton than you would in Trump. Open your eyes and your mind. Look at what’s real, rather than Donnie’s lies. He’s the real RINO. Those you call RINO’s are the ones who should get your vote. But you’re too stubborn I guess. You’d be happier with a Hitler.

Where am I a liberal? I can support conservative ideals without supporting Trump. If you truly want to beat Ciinton you should be picking a leader not a sound bite. All talk and no substance will not unite the republican party. After months of listening to leaders and members of the party bashing each other, calling each other liars and talking about being ineffective they are suddenly rallying around the worst offender. Only a week ago most of the prominent republicans hated Trump but now they are all acting like he is so great. Die hard republicans may follow but the undecided are watching a party hate each other for months. They have little confidence but instead of acknowledging that you would rather accuse anyone who doesn’t like Trump of being liberal. That will always be the problem with partisan politics.

You have no idea what I believe but because I don’t agree with you and don’t worship the idiot that is Donald Trump I must be your most hated liberal. That’s fine I won’t waste my time because you obviously only cherry picked what I said. I never once said I was a Hilary supporter. I think she is everything that is wrong with politicians but Donald Trump is not the answer. You just keep your head up Donald’s skirt and save your diatribe. The problem with both the right wing and the left wing is they don’t realistically look at the issues and common sense problems for solutions. It’s far more fun to hurl insults and close your mind. That’s why the country is in the position it is in. You can blame Obama but the fact is you have a house and senate dominated by the right yet because they are too busy with their rulers to prove who is bigger nothing gets accomplished.

        May 13, 2016
        1. Brn2bfree

Now you’re talking out of both sides of your mouth. One minute you’re saying that Hillary is everything that is wrong with politicians. On the other side you’re saying such things about Trump.
          .
Trump is a result of Hillary type of establishment politician. At this point they represent opposite sides. Trump is a result of liberals PC run amuck. Trump is a result of gutless establishment RINO’s. Republicans in name only. Liberalism is the problem with this country. The Democrats have accomplished their goal. Which is…. get enough people dependent on government so that they will always vote Democrat and stay in power.
          .
I’m attracted to a person who tells it like it is and is not afraid to speak his mind. I don’t worship him but I do support his ideas. I want a successful business man to run our government as a business and not a charity. About time sanity has come back to our society.

You keep telling yourself that. Trump fully supported Hillary and Bill in the past. As a matter of fact he is the one speaking out of both sides of his mouth but you are so stubborn in your beliefs you don’t want to see the truth. Please explain his flip flopping just during his campaign? Of course you can’t because you blindly believe whatever he says they minute he says it. Just because I find fault with Hillary I don’t have to be dumb enough to cut off my nose to spite my face. It isn’t talking out of both sides it’s actually listening, studying, reading and learning, then I form my opinion. You just want to close your eyes and blindly follow an idiot. Your choice but don’t put your ideals on me because I don’t believe I have to totally believe one or the other.

Remember When Trump Skipped a Debate To Raise Money For Veterans? The Veterans Still Haven’t Received Their Money.
        .
right before the Iowa caucuses, real estate mogul Donald Trump wormed out of a Fox News debate because he was scared of moderator Megyn Kelly, so he held an event to raise money for veterans. Over two months later, the veterans have yet to receive the money.

The Wall Street Journal reports that they surveyed 19 of the 22 groups that the Trump campaign said they would be donating to, and discovered that only $2.4 million has been given to the veterans. The event raised roughly $6 million.

The organizations that did get money received it in checks that were as low as $5,000 to as high as $100,000 from the Donald J. Trump Foundation. Others received money from other organizations and weren’t aware that the money was rooted from Trump’s event.

“It’s a little weird,” Keith David of the Task Force Dagger Foundation, a Texas group assisting Special Operations Command personnel, told the Journal.

Trump’s campaign spokeswoman, Hope Hicks, told the Journal, “Mr. Trump has distributed many of the contributions to a number of worthy organizations, and will continue to do so.”

Back in January, The Federalist found that the website Trump set up for the veterans, donaldtrumpforvets.com, sends the money directly to the Trump foundation.

“There is absolutely no accountability here for how Trump will spend this money,” RedState’s Leon Wolf wrote. “This is how hucksters like Trump operate. Rather than say that he’s going to raise money for a reputable vets organization – of which there are many – he diverts the money to his own sham tax shelter and hopes that his supporters never notice or demand an accounting for what was done with their money, as would be done for any 501 ©(3) that was set up with the specific purpose for helping vets.”

Wolf noted that the foundation hadn’t done much with the money they had raised in the past. But here is one thing they have done: the Journal’s report points out that the Trump foundation has come under scrutiny for making a donation in 2013 to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi when she was “considering whether to take legal action against Trump University for possible fraud.” Naturally, Bondi didn’t take legal action against the university and has endorsed Trump for president.

When will the veterans see the rest of that $6 million that Trump raised? Based on the foundation’s actions so far, it doesn’t seem like they will get it anytime soon.

What happened to Trump’s donations to veterans?

        .
(CNN)Donald Trump drew much fanfare when he skipped a Republican debate in January to host a rally that he has said raised millions of dollars for veterans, but one question has lingered since the event: Where’s the money?

The Trump campaign said the event raised $6 million for different veterans groups, with Trump himself contributing $1 million, but details released by the campaign Thursday show only about half of that money has been dispersed so far.
The campaign did not provide specifics earlier this week, but after a CNN report aired Thursday morning questioning the contributions, a spokeswoman shared a list in the afternoon showing 27 veterans organizations that have received a total of $2.9 million to date.
        .
Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks told CNN the contributions will continue as money comes in and she critiqued what she describes as misplaced scrutiny on the fundraiser.
“If the media spent half as much time highlighting the work of these groups and how our veterans have been so mistreated, rather than trying to disparage Mr. Trump’s generosity for a totally unsolicited gesture for which he had no obligation, we would all be better for it,” Hicks said Thursday.
Yet the vice president for Charity Navigator, Sandra Miniutti, said she believes the money should have already been dispersed.
Miniutti said some fundraisers rightfully take time to distribute payments if the recipients have to be vetted, such as after public emergencies, but she said Trump’s campaign established a clear list of organizations to benefit.
“There is no hard rule for turn-around time, but because the fundraising was so public, I think it’s fair to question why the funds haven’t been paid out,” Miniutti said.
        ,
Miniutti noted that the organizations on Trump’s list that have been ranked by Charity Navigator, a nonprofit that evaluates charities, have received positive ratings.
Prior to the release of specific contributions on Thursday, the campaign only listed 22 beneficiaries on its website without clarifying how much each would receive. When contacted by CNN, only nine groups confirmed they had received payments totaling $800,000, one group said no payment had yet been made, and the rest either refused to disclose contributions or did not respond to CNN’s requests for comment.
The $2.9 million in donations made so far come from Trump’s foundation or the foundations of two of his friends, business magnate Carl Icahn and pharmaceutical billionaire Stewart J. Rahr.
In a letter to Fisher House Foundation, which received $100,000, Rahr wrote, “Please note that this donation originated thanks to Mr. Donald Trump and our mutual admiration of our nation’s veterans.”
Trump hosted the fundraiser on January 28 in Des Moines, Iowa, after deciding to skip a Fox News debate due to an ongoing feud with the network. The Republican front-runner has repeatedly expressed outrage on the campaign trail over what he sees as mistreatment of veterans as if they are “third-class citizens.”
But some veteran organizations have publicly critiqued Trump for politicizing contributions to benefit veterans.
Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America founder Paul Rieckhoff said he would decline any contributions that came from the January event.
“We need strong policies from candidates, not to be used for political stunts,” Rieckhoff tweeted before the fundraiser.
Other groups, such as Disabled American Veterans, which reportedly received $100,000 from Trump’s foundation, have been careful to clarify that receiving a contribution does not mean Trump has their exclusive support.
“We hope all candidates will support our cause … The receipt of a donation from Mr. Trump’s foundation does not imply an endorsement for his political campaign,” the group said in a statement.

VETERANS DEMAND TRUMP PRODUCE THE MILLIONS HE SAID HE RAISED FOR VETERANS’ CHARITIES!!!

…that should get the bigots in the crowd moved
        .
Trump got all the publicity he wanted out of skipping a Fox News debate and saying he was raising millions for veterans, but he’s been so lax in producing that money that veterans are demanding he fess up.

        From the Hill:

More than 50 veterans released a statement Sunday calling on presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump to show respect for the country’s veterans and donate the millions of dollars he allegedly raised during a fundraiser several months ago. “Donald Trump recently discovered a new love for America’s veterans, promising that a Trump administration will ‘treat them really, really well,’” the statement released by Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton’s campaign said. “Yet after a publicity stunt earlier this year when he ditched a GOP debate to hold an event on behalf of veterans, his campaign still hasn’t distributed more than half of the $6 million dollars it allegedly raised.”
The statement signed by veterans, including Democratic Reps. Ruben Gallego and Seth Moulton, said Trump’s campaign doesn’t even know where the money raised during that event went. Earlier this year, Trump skipped the seventh Republican presidential debate over disagreements with the host network, Fox News. Instead, he held a fundraiser for raise money for military veterans.
        And that’s not all, folks!!

“Republican and Democratic national security professionals agree that a Trump administration would make America dangerously less safe while reducing its standing and influence in the world,” the statement said. “His embrace of both military adventurism and isolationism, and his support of the use of torture will not only recklessly place our troops in harm’s way, but will dramatically increase the risk to our service members serving in operations overseas.” The statement called Trump’s policies “detrimental” to people who serve the country. “He can’t be trusted, by our veterans or anyone else,” it said. “It’s time for Donald Trump to stop using vets as political props, donate the rest of the money he raised and build a real understanding of the needs and concerns of the men and women who have served America.”
I mean, how low do you have to be to use U.S. soldiers for a PR stunt and then screw them out of money? And this should not be a surprise to anyone. Trump keeps saying how much he “loves” the veterans, but although he’s supposedly worth billions, he didn’t fundraise any money for veterans or donate himself until he ran for president.

Just another indication that America has fallen for a YUGE orange-faced toupee-topped SCAM.

McCain also demanded that Trump apologize, not to him, but for the other Prisoners of War that he insulted when he said he preferred soldiers who didn’t let themselves get captured.

Rinit I can see you have Mr Trump summed up very well and the way politics works. There is one positive thing we can say about him,
    he is certainly not dumb.

I’m actually Canadian so I find anyone assuming I am anything based on what they picked from my comments amusing. Being on the outside looking in doesn’t mean we don’t know what is going on as it did in the past. The world wide web has opened the world to everyone. Every newspaper, network and opinion is out there for anyone to study and form an opinion. I find it sad that a country as powerful as the United States seems to be destroying itself from within. There are so many threats to the free world but by all this infighting they are leaving themselves open to destruction. If there is anything left after they are done with each other.

You got that right. We are destroying ourselves from within. Each party acts likes it has to be all one or the other. That just won’t work.

It’s too bad people don’t look at it that way and demand change from within instead of hanging their hat on an actor with nothing to show but soundbites.
