All these hurricanes aint their fault. This is too much to absorb. The insurance companies should be allowed to claim bankruptcy and start back fresh.

People forget that it was Katrina that pushed the last domino in the financial crash of ’07.

Are you serious? Where do you think these socialist style organizations get the money to pay out on losses? Ever hear of redistribution of wealth? Call it emergency socially acceptable redistribution of wealth. You pay more for your insurance when they have to pay out more on claims and did not charge the insuree enough for the risk. Quasi-taxation without representation.
    >>>>If an insurer is allowed bankruptcy, who do you think will pay off on all of the claims?<<<<<
    Yeah, bend over!
Remember the last gasoline shortage when everyone was tacking on a gas surcharge to their products.
*It didn’t go away when gasoline went down.
Also, chemical fertilizer prices doubled when oil prices went up over $115 a barrel.
*Oil is below $50/brl, and fertilizer has dropped 50¢ and the size of the bags went from 50# to 30/40# bags.

The point of the insurance business is risk. It is not a matter of fault.

We pay monthly premiums for our homeowners insurances. There is no way the insurance companies control the weather. They should(are expected) to pay out.
