Protesters Crash Trump Assassination ‘Julius Caesar’ Play (VIDEO)

.

Two protesters crashed Friday night’s production of Shakespeare in the Park Julius Caesar, which depicts the assassination and brutal stabbing of a stand-in for President Donald Trump.

.

Laura Loomer, formerly of Project Veritas, rushed the stage shouting “Stop the normalization of political violence against the right! This is unacceptable!” An announcer halted the production and boos from audience filled Central Park’s Delacorte Theater

......~~~

I think there has to be some kind of push back to the violent radical left.

They are being brainwashed and a few are feeding the frenzy.

Just noticed that the attackers are all black. Obama’s pissed that Trump is unraveling his legacy so he has sent his motley crew to do his dirty work for him.

What’s more, New York City’s Public Theater has reportedly received nearly $30 million in federal, state, and city grants since 2009, according to data published by OpenTheBooks CEO and Forbes contributor Andrew Andrzejewski.

That’s why the Endowment for the Arts is on the chopping block. I don’t think it should disappear. I think the millionaires moaning about it should step up & put together an actual endowment to promote the arts instead of demanding the taxpayers fund it with deficit spending.

“instead of demanding the taxpayers fund it with deficit spending.”
        .
        fuck me
        .
Certainly, there’s a long tradition of outrage in theater, as well as provocative political protest. Private corporations are free to signal their values by pulling sponsorship or advertising from anything they like, whether it’s Bill O’Reilly’s show, Breitbart’s website, or a production of a Shakespearean play dressed up to “provoke and offend” the president of the United States and some of the people who support him. Individuals, too, are free to act as patrons and consumers, supporting both the art and the companies they agree with and speaking against those they find offensive.
        .
But right-wing media outlets’ swift move to offense and outrage over the production — and the uproar that ensued — does call into question how well any of those who are upset grasp the history of Shakespeare and his place in the Western canon, and whether they’re at all familiar with Julius Caesar itself.
        .
Because in short, a lot of people have completely missed the point of both the production and the play.
        .
Shakespeare in the Park takes part in a long tradition of infusing the Bard’s plays with fresh relevance
Every summer, the Public Theater — often referred to simply as “the Public” — stages a series of plays at Central Park’s Delacorte Theater under the auspices of its Shakespeare in the Park program. Typically the program features Shakespearean plays and sometimes other, similar classic works (by Chekhov or Ibsen, for instance). Hopeful attendees enter a lottery for tickets, which are free but in very high demand.
        .
How can tickets to such a big production be kept free to the public? In fact, Donald Trump Jr. recently asked this question on Twitter:

        .
        Donald Trump Jr. ✔ @DonaldJTrumpJr
I wonder how much of this “art” is funded by taxpayers? Serious question, when does “art” become political speech & does that change things? https://twitter.com/foxnews/status/873912863412428800 …
        7:56 AM – 11 Jun 2017
        .
The answer is that most of Shakespeare in the Park’s funding comes from corporate sponsors and private foundations. This summer’s productions also received a portion of their funding from the New York State Council on the Arts (supported by the taxpayers of New York) but not the National Endowment for the Arts, which is supported by federal taxes.

caught that last para i trust, spunky?

The moral of Julius Caesar is that Brutus, destroyed the Republic by killing Caesar… in the classic tragedy we cause that which we seek to prevent. Brutus was a close friend to Caesar, betraying him was difficult to stomach so he had to be convinced he was doing it for Rome… tragically he lives to see his failure, how he was manipulated by the Senate for their political gain.

So many ways, it’s similar in that even the Republicans are against Trump. These investigations are fueled by Republicans as well.

That’s because it’s not a game of Republicans vs Democrats, that’s the show. The game is insiders vs outsiders.

on that. The voters voted for an outsider and hopefully many of those RINO’s will get voted out. There should be a website of a list of Republicans who are trying to take down Trump.

They keep lying and feeding the misinformation… inciting violence. They can speak out but none has. Especially, Kathy Griffin with her ISIS pose. None of the Democrats said anything that’s crossing the line.
      .
Even with the shooting of Scalice, people were booing the president… they continue to have plays with assassinating Trump. This combiya moment was fake… like their fake news. That’s what you expect from habitual liars.

And to make matters WORSE, Liberals and Liberal sources are promoting violence against Conservatives and basking in the acts of violence that they are promoting. They are then attempting to use the acts of violence that the Liberals promote to push the anti-gun agenda. The only people who should be excluded from having or purchasing firearms are Liberals!

On Friday a court found Michelle Carter guilty of manslaughter. She had sent texts suggesting her boyfriend should carry out his assertion that he would kill himself. She was 17 at the time. If a court can find a minor guilty of manslaughter for text messaging surely the same standard could be applied to all the media and celebrities who call Trump and his supporters a threat to America and the world, who call him Hitler, who posed with his decapitated head, who shoot him, who assassinate him, etc.

    June 18, 2017
    1. Munkyman

Might be able to charge them with incitement, the law seems to allow it. I think that might be the intent of the investigation into the Baseball Shooter. He was active on a Facebook group that apparently promoting violence against Republicans. With the recent USMC scandal on Facebook, that case (she more than suggested, she goaded it’s all in print) & the baseball shooter, it seems that they’re building precedent to go after ideological advocacy as incitement to violence. This seems like a dangerous direction to take the law.

      June 18, 2017
      1. stevehayes13

It is a terrible legal precedent. Just because someone says something does not mean they caused someone else to do something. The idea that one can cause physical change by saying words is magical thinking. The Michelle Carter case is a scandal.

Human beings are not hungry dogs. Moreover, Carter broke no law of Massachusetts. The prosecution and the judge are clearly guilty of judicial activism.

            1. Munkyman

I haven’t paid enough attention to the case myself yet. I’m really just aware of the text quotes I’ve had a chance to hear on the radio. If I were arguing this as the prosecutor, I’d have gone with accessory to suicide… her repeated encouragement was an essential aggravating circumstance to his actually doing it & she was intent upon his death being the result of her actions rendering her completely aware of her complicity before the fact & premeditated in her intent.

              June 18, 2017
            2. stevehayes13

As I already pointed out, Massachusetts has no law against encouraging suicide.

              June 18, 2017
            3. Munkyman

They have laws against acting as an accomplice in a crime & laws against suicide. It’s the best argument I could make for it. Sad as it is if he was that weak minded, I’m kind of glad he’s not going to mature into a voter.

The Milgram Experiment tells us that 85% are suggestible beyond their own ethical/moral tolerances by those they cede authority to, the Stanford Prison Experiment tells us that most will take to abuse of authority & then justify it with “What we have here is a failure to communicate, … that’s the way he wants it, that’s the way he get’s it…”
Like it or not the word, written or spoken, is still as powerful as any other weapon when used well against the majority of people, but most especially the unstable.

          1. stevehayes13

The Miligram experiments are hardly relevant. They were responding to instructions from an authority figure. She was a 17 yr old talking via text message to her boyfriend.

I read an article that basically said that there is going to be another civil war that is forced on Conservatives by the Liberals who are violent, bloodthirsty and financial. I didn’t believe it then but, the Liberals are making me re-assess the situation, especially with events like the recent shooting in D.C. that Liberals excuse, condone and promote.
