The Pigpen Left: Dead body found in DAPL protest debris

With the snows melting in icy North Dakota, the mounds of frozen garbage left by far-left Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) protestors are finally being cleared. What should the police find in all those acres of debris? A dead body, not surprisingly, nestled among all the garbage-barge-like flotsam and jetsam such Occupy-inspired campout protests always leave in their wake.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
.
Finding a dead body in their protest debris fits their man is destroying the planet mantra.  Less people on earth means less destruction to the planet.
.
I guess the left is kinda practicing what they're preaching.
    whos to say it wasnt some homeless person
    rummaging through
    then died?
    OR
    whos to say it even happened at all?
    after all you cite only a blog
    .
    now for the real story
    not that fake news of yours
    .
    CANNON BALL, N.D. – Last week, we showed you all the garbage that was left by Dakota Access Pipeline protesters at the Oceti Sakowin Camp.
    .
    Now, we’re showing you where all that trash will end up.
    .
    Sanitation crews are working hard to dispose of six months’ worth of garbage from a community the size of Wahpeton or Valley City. The mountains of debris need to be moved before the spring thaw occurs.
    .
    Making a dent in the immense amount of trash being hauled out of the Oceti Sakowin protest camp is being hindered by the weather. All the garbage that was left behind is now frozen into massive chunks of junk.
    .
    In a month, all this trash could become toxic.
    .
    “Standing Rock Environmental Protection Agency and Dakota Sanitation are working together to try and advert an environmental tragedy,” says Tom Doering, Morton County Emergency Manager.
    .
    It’s estimated it will take 250 trucks filled with litter to clear the camp.
    .
    “There’s a lot of work to be done,” says Doering.
    .
    Each load that’s dumped is inspected by the Morton County Sheriff’s Department.
    .
    “We are looking for, as I said, anything illegal, anything that might be used to, I guess, harm our officers during a protest,” says Jay Gruebele, Morton County Sheriff’s Office Captain.
    .
    Authorities are also searching through the piles for evidence they hope they don’t find.
    .
    “As bad as it sounds, we’re looking for people that may have died and could be wrapped up in a canvas or a tarp or tent,” says Gruebele.
    .
    Logistics make cleaning up this mess more difficult.
    .
    “Because the bridge is closed, they have to take the long way around, so it’s adding haul time,” says Doering.
    .
    Twenty-three loads have been dumped at the Bismarck Landfill since the cleanup started.
    .
    The clean-up effort started about a week ago.
        The pictures show how the armed occupiers trashed the Malheur Wildlife Refuge in Burns during the protest over land rights.
        Garbage including empty drinks bottles can be seen littered throughout the rooms, with camping equipment and bedding left behind.
        Damage to the building, including a broken wall, is pictured in the photographs, which also show how an office was left completely wrecked by protesters.
    The NY Times has yet to report on this, but both the LA Times & the Washington Times have.
    “An apparent Dakota Access Pipeline activist missing since October has been found dead floating in the Cannonball River near the site of the former protest camps.
    A local fisherman discovered the body of Damjan Nedelkovski, 35, of Glendale, California, near the shoreline at the river’s mouth, according to a press release issued Monday by the Morton County Sheriff’s Department in Mandan, North Dakota."
    Between the garbage & the sewage, these protesters have done more damage in 6 months than the pipeline will do over the next 100 years… barring a terrorist attack on the pipe.
        Since most of them really don’t care, they just want to be a part of something & to them this was not very different from a week long music festival… I really don’t see anything so elegant as irony.               300 protesters injured after police use water cannons
              Twenty-six people hospitalized from ‘mass casualty incident’ that included bone fractures and hypothermia shown in dramatic video footage of standoff
              .
              seriously spunky?
              the cops use excessive force and you want to blame the protesters?
              .
              The Standing Rock Medic & Healer Council said that injuries from the “mass casualty incident” included multiple bone fractures from projectiles fired by police, a man with internal bleeding from a rubber bullet injury, a man who suffered a grand mal seizure, and a woman who was struck in the face with a rubber bullet and whose vision was compromised.
              The majority of the patients suffered hypothermia, a result of being soaked by water cannons, the group said.
              Civil rights groups are decrying the use of water cannons in below-freezing weather.
              “It’s absolutely a blatant disregard for the safety and humanity of unarmed protesters,” said Jen Cook, policy director for the ACLU of North Dakota. “In combination with other tactics, it’s a misuse of less-than-lethal weaponry … It’s unjustifiable.”
              .
              but what the fuck
              ya might as well blame it on the protest “event.”
      " these protesters have done more damage in 6 months than the pipeline will do over the next 100 years…"
      .
      Pipeline spills 176,000 gallons of crude into creek about 150 miles from Dakota Access protest camp
      …can you say oops?
      .
      The creek feeds into the Little Missouri River, but Seuss said it appears no oil got that far and that no drinking water sources were threatened. The creek was free-flowing when the spill occurred but has since frozen over.
      About 60 workers were on site Monday, and crews have been averaging about 100 yards daily in their cleanup efforts, he said. Some of the oil remains trapped beneath the frozen creek.
      Suess says about 37,000 gallons of oil have been recovered.
      “It’s going to take some time,” Suess said of the cleanup. “Obviously there will be some component of the cleanup that will go toward spring.”
      True Cos. has a history of oil field–related spills in North Dakota and Montana, including a January 2015 pipeline break into the Yellowstone River. The 32,000-gallon spill temporarily shut down water supplies in the downstream community of Glendive, Montana, after oil was detected in the city’s water treatment system.
      True Cos. operates at least three pipeline companies with a combined 1,648 miles of line in Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming, according to information the companies submitted to federal regulators. Since 2006, the companies have reported 36 spills totaling 320,000 gallons of petroleum products, most of which was never recovered.
      The companies behind the Dakota Access pipeline have reported thousands of gallons of oil spilled in dozens of industrial accidents over the last two years, according to an analysis performed by anti-pipeline environmental groups.
      .
      Pipeline parent company Energy Transfer Partners and Sunoco, which recently announced a merger with Energy Transfer and will eventually operate the Dakota Access line, have, with their subsidiaries, reported discharges to the federal government of nearly 200,000 gallons of oil across 42 spills, the groups said Monday.
      .
      The Louisiana Bucket Brigade, which is fighting a sister pipeline to Dakota Access there, together with Disastermap.net, studied 2015 and 2016 data from the National Response Center, the federal agency that tracks the discharge of oil, chemicals, and other pollutants into the environment.
      .
      Energy Transfer and Sunoco were involved in 69 incidents — including 35 pipeline accidents — over the two-year period, the analysis found. The accidents caused eight injuries and $300,000 in damage, the report found.
      .
      “It is a pretty sobering experience to go through these spreadsheets,” said Anne Rolfes, founding director of the Louisiana Bucket Brigade, an environmental group. “To sift through all these pages really gives you an idea of the destruction.”
      .
      Energy Transfer did not directly address the group’s claims.
