What IF?

What if Russia didn't care about who won the Presidency?

What if their purpose were just to sow discord & put our electoral process in question.

Russia prizes the game of Chess & the thought processes it helps develop far more than we do.

They view the world as a chess game far more sincerely than we do.

If the game isn't about this piece or that, which it isn't in the mind of a good player.

If it doesn't matter who wins, it only matters the damage done to the institutions, then the Russians don't need actual collusion, they just need to have engaged in activities that throw shadow on whomever won & call the election into question. That's the win for Russia, just as it's the win for US when we engage in the same activities in other places where we simply "need" to keep the region destabilized. What if there was no collusion on either side, just Russia playing global chess & beating our pants off in an age old gambit of getting your enemy to tear itself apart while you sit back & laugh about it?

It is not “what if” but exactly what is going on…
BTW, I play with light instead of shadows…

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me – and lots more likely than all the crazy theories I’ve heard so far.

There is no way forward for an aggressive Russia to even try to frighten the U.S.A. Sabre rattling always.Actually doing something, never. The way I see it from England is that the U.S.A, OUR GREATEST FRIEND, is still far to powerful for anyone to mess with. Whoever dared try it would be wiped clean from this planet. Especially with Lord trump at the helm. I cant help but like him.

What are you attempting to imply that Russia did?

I am stating that I believe that IF Russia or Russians did anything, they merely acted in their own interest no more egregiously than we’ve acted in our own interests. I am stating that Russia could have done absolutely nothing & when they saw the chaos being caused… took full advantage of it. What I’m saying is that at this point what Russia may or may not have done is inconsequential compared to what we’re doing to ourselves over it.

Russia-gate hysteria has already done serious to America.

In that way this is exactly like the Birther Movement, at this point it doesn’t matter IF Russia did anything, just as 6 months after the election it didn’t matter if Obama was born in Iraq & nursed by Saddam… neither being a reality could do any more damage than the continued assertions based on those suppositions.

No empire is so well destroyed as by itself.
